Posh+Folk is an innovative event planning firm based in the San Francisco Bay Area. We believe that all events are made infinitely better by having professional guidance from start to finish.
Our goal is to provide full-service event planning and design at an attainable pricepoint. To do this, we focus on working at venues we really love and that we know very well. We currently work at over two dozen fantastic venues, and are continually updating our list.
We are a boutique company and we limit the number of events we take on each year to ensure a high level of service and personalization. Our events are never cookie-cutter. We place a high priority on aesthetics and always create individualized event designs that are tasteful and thoughtful.
Our services would be a fantastic fit for someone who:
- Is a busy professional and would like help throughout the planning process
- Has already selected a venue on our list (see Services)
- Envisions an intimate event that is simple but sophisticated
- Appreciates thoughtful design that feels effortlessly chic
Founder and Creative Director
Amy is the creative force behind Posh+Folk. She runs a thriving event company (Amy Kaneko Events), but founded Posh+Folk after discovering a need for more attainable full-service planning. Every Posh+Folk event is designed by Amy so that it has the best possible layout, flow, and atmosphere. Her background includes over 8 years of planning sophisticated events. Amy has received rigorous training in architecture and design at top firms around the country and at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. She earned her bachelor’s degree in history and literature from Harvard.
Hanna is the logistical taskmaster of Posh+Folk. She has an immense aptitude for organization and detailed logistics. She is down-to-earth and consistently unflappable – not even the most complicated rental order or cantankerous shuttle driver can faze her. Hanna has worked closely with Amy Kaneko for several years and has planned events all over the Bay Area, from Big Sur to the northernmost reaches of Napa Valley. She is a Bay Area native and received her bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship and innovation from the University of San Francisco.
